Finance Vauto Privacy Policy

Finance Vauto is a Quebec-based automotive platform that helps consumers rent, finance and buy vehicles through a network of partners. This document explains how we handle the personal information you entrust to us when you use financevauto.ca or the Finance Vauto mobile app.

When you fill out a pre-approval application or a contact form, we collect the information you voluntarily provide: name, email, phone, city, general employment situation, vehicle type, estimated monthly budget and comments. We do not collect your Social Insurance Number or banking data at the pre-approval stage. When you use the Finance Vauto mobile app, we collect only the information required to make it work.

Information is used to: (1) evaluate your request and connect you with the appropriate partner lenders and dealers; (2) contact you by phone or email regarding your request; (3) improve our services; (4) comply with legal obligations. No credit decision is made fully automatically by Finance Vauto.

We share your information only with the financial partners and dealers required to process your request, and with our technology providers (cloud hosting, email, internal analytics) bound by confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

We retain your information for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, and in accordance with applicable Quebec legal and tax requirements. You may request deletion of your file at any time.

Under the Quebec Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, you have the right to access, correct, withdraw consent to and request deletion of your information. To exercise these rights, write to info@financevauto.ca.

We implement reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect your information. No Internet transmission is fully secure; please avoid sending sensitive information outside intended channels.

The Finance Vauto iOS app follows the same privacy principles as the website. Any data collected by the app is used only for its operation and the purposes described above. We do not sell data to advertising third parties.
